Celebrating 40 Years of Fellowship

This past week in Orlando, Florida, the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations & Synagogues (IAMCS) held their 40th annual Messianic Rabbi’s conference. 200 Messianic leaders from the United States and Canada gathered for encouragement, worship, teaching, and fellowship.

The theme of this year’s conference was derived from Revelation 12:11 (TLV) – “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives even in the face of death.” Many of the conference speakers focused on the theme in their messages.

As the conference began on New Year’s Eve this year, an amazing food spread along with ‘open mic’ Jewish entertainment followed the evening program to lead us up till midnight!

Main plenary speakers that provided vision during the conference included: IAMCS Director of Operations Messianic Rabbi Joel Liberman, Messianic Rabbis Jeff Forman, Eric Lakatos, Michael Stepakoff, Eric Carlson, David Levine, Frank Lowinger, Joe Vitkus, prolific author and Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn; and Harry Mihet, Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chief Litigation Counsel at Liberty Counsel who spoke on serious threats related to religious liberty. Dynamic praise and worship was led by the team from Beth Messiah Congregation (Houston, TX) who set the tone each morning and evening! .

The three-and-a-half day conference was also filled with many 10-minute teachings dealing with the practical to the theological from leading Messianic congregational leaders and their wives. Ministry updates were sprinkled throughout the presentations, and the times of fellowship at meals, team building exercises, sessions for younger leaders and young professionals along with conversations poolside with upper 60-degree and sunny weather provided a perfect atmosphere for recharging the spiritual batteries of all of the leaders who attended!

Many new licensees were officially presented to the conference who were added to the IAMCS two-year Ordination program (licensees are admitted all-year long) as well.

If you are a Messianic leader, plan on attending the 41st annual conference taking place in Orlando, FL from January 5-8, 2025!
