THE JOSEPH PROJECT, SUPPORTING COMMUNITY KITCHENS

The Joseph Project provides support to Moshe’s soup kitchen as he takes an active role in feeding the poor and needy on the toughest streets of Tel Aviv. Here is how the soup kitchen has impacted lives:
“I’ve known Ayala for several years. She lives in an old building in one of Tel Aviv’s most dangerous areas, plagued by crime, prostitution, and drug dealing. The stairwell often shelters drug addicts and refugees from Eritrea/Sudan. Ayala suffers from anxiety and restlessness because of her surroundings and regularly comes to our soup kitchen”.

She says the food is excellent and sometimes asks for extra on Thursdays so she has something tasty for later. The soup kitchen has become a social haven for Ayala. All the volunteers love her, and over time, she’s become more open about her life and experiences. This service gives her the assurance that she won’t go hungry and that there are people who care for her.
