The Daily Nosh – Psalms 91:9-11
Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place – the Most High, who is my refuge – no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (ESV) Psalms 91:9-11
Nosh: What an exciting revelation! David reveals that one of the assigned duties of God’s ministering angels is to protect those who have given their hearts and lives to Him. Although we usually have no awareness of their presence, they are apparently very active in fulfilling God’s directive to prevent us from falling victim to physical, emotional, and spiritual harm. Meditating on this revelation never fails to lift my spirits.
