Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us. Establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands. (TLV) – Psalms 90:17
Nosh: Favor equals promotion. God’s favor upon our work means that it is not only more successful in the short term but also is established and assured in the long term. Interestingly, the verse repeats the phrase “yes, establish the work of our hands” thus emphasizing to us the importance and wisdom of seeking God’s blessing. The fact that His long-term favor is available to us is so very encouraging and well worth pursuing.
