Our soul waits for the Lord, He is our help and our shield. (TLV) – Psalms 33:20
Nosh: In these few words, David asserts that God is the source of three great blessings, deliverance, protection and success. However, God’s timing for delivering these blessings does not always align with our expectation and regularly takes longer than we believe it should. Consequently, another skill is required – patience. So while it is wise to depend on the Lord for deliverance, protection and success, it is just as important to see each situation as an opportunity to practice and learn to wait patiently for God’s perfect timing. Dependence on God and the patience to wait for His timing is an often difficult but sure formula for success.
