The Daily Nosh – Psalms 30:9-11

To you Adonai (O Lord), I called and to my Lord, I made my plea: “What gain is there in my blood, in my going down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it declare your truth? Hear, Adonai (O Lord), and be gracious to me. Adonai, be my help.” (TLV) Psalms 30:9-11
Nosh: King David needs God to move on his behalf. He feels that his very life is threatened. He appeals to God to intervene on his behalf by reasoning with Him that his death will result in the loss of a significant source of praise and witness. David knows that praise is one of God’s love languages and a divine motivator. These benefits of praise are a good thing for us to understand, cultivate, and apply, especially when we are going through tough and challenging circumstances and need God to supernaturally intervene on our behalf.
