Nosh: The confidence David asserts in this verse is rooted in his clear and clean conscience before God. To the best of his knowledge, he is living for and serving God in every right way he knows. This is called integrity. Integrity gives him confidence to believe that he can approach God boldly with his requests and expect God’s favor and protection in every situation. From my perspective, living with a clear conscience before God is the most wonderful and freeing experience there is on this earth.
