The Daily Nosh – Psalms 119:56
This blessing has fallen to me, that I have kept your precepts. (ESV) Psalms 119:56
Nosh: The ability to be faithful to God and keep to His ways, David says, in itself, is an amazing work of God’s grace. He infers that without God’s help he would not have been able to be faithful to His commandments. In other words, it is only as God enables us to follow Him, that we receive redemption, and for that matter every good thing in life. Knowing this helps remember that it is wise to cultivate a sense of humility in all things, knowing that His unseen hand is making it all possible.
