The Daily Nosh – Psalm 56:3-4

My foes trample me all day. For many are fighting me arrogantly. In a day when I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. In God – I keep praising His word – in God I trust, I will not fear. What can mere flesh do to me? (TLV) Psalm 56:3-4
Nosh: I love this passage for here David (the great warrior) transparently shares that there are some situations that arouse fear and frighten him. How does David respond? Immediately, he runs to God in prayer, gives his fear to God then waits expectantly for God to deliver him. In other words, he quickly chooses to reject the fear and turn to God for deliverance. It is this humble act of faith that produces rising confidence in David’s heart in the face of menacing and threatening situations.
