The Daily Nosh – Proverbs 21:2
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. (ESV) Proverbs 21:2
Nosh: The heart is the seat of our emotions and where our true motivations reside. However, those motivations are very often not clearly or objectively self-discerned. I have found that it is wise to have spiritually mature counselors who will give me clear and objective feedback on critical issues that arise in my life. Counsel performs the invaluable service of uncovering our blind spots, that is those areas that are hidden from our objective consideration. Wise counsel has saved me considerable heartache over many years.
