The Daily Nosh – Proverbs 19:17

Daily Nosh

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed. (ESV) – Proverbs 19:17

Nosh: Remarkably, this verse reveals that God views our generosity to the poor as a loan that He is responsible to repay. The fact that God is a debtor to us for anything is startling in its revelation. Here’s how it works. We practice blessing the less fortunate and God practices repaying us for our compassionate generosity. I really like that.
