The Daily Nosh – Philippians 1:23-24
I am torn between the two – having a desire to leave and be with the Messiah which is far better; yet for your sake, to remain in the body is more necessary. (TLV) Philippians 1:23-24
Nosh: Feeling needed is a powerful motivator for good. Paul would rather be with the Messiah in the next life but feels that he is needed more by those in this life to whom he is now ministering. To the extent we can encourage others to feel needed is the extent to which they will be committed to serve with us in ministry and life situations in general.
