The Daily Nosh – Mark 4:24b-25
“ …With the measure you use, it will be measured to you; and more will be added to you. For whoever has, to him more will be given. And whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” (TLV) Mark 4:24b-25
Nosh: Here is one of God’s immutable laws for a blessed and successful life. The seed of generosity sown towards others (especially the poor and needy) reaps an abundant harvest and attracts a multiplied blessing to the sower from God and man in many ways. A lack of generosity towards others results in the shrinking presence of blessing in our lives. In fact, this verse infers that others may actively work to prevent or subtract blessings that would otherwise be ours to enjoy. In God’s economy, selfless and humble generosity releases God’s favor, promotion, and blessing in the life of the giver.
