The Daily Nosh – Luke 5:4-6

Daily Nosh

When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Go out into the deep water, and let down your nets for a catch.” Simon replied, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and caught nothing, But at your word. I will let down the nets.” When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets began to break. (TLV) Luke 5:4-6

Nosh: While it would be nice to say that we always have a great attitude when serving the Lord, this is not always the case. Fortunately, as we see in this passage, God rewarded Peter’s obedience, not his attitude. God’s supernatural power is released not by words that profess faith but by acts of faith in response to God’s leading.
