The Daily Nosh – Joshua 10:12-14

Then Joshua spoke to Adonai (the Lord), on the day Adonai gave the Amorites over to Bnei-Yisrael (sons of Israel), and said in the eyes of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon, Moon, over the Aijalon Valley!” So the sun stood still and the moon stopped until the nation took vengeance on its enemies. (Is it not written in the Book of Jashar?) Thus the sun unhalted in the middle of the sky and did not hurry down for about a full day. There was no day like that before it or after it, when Adonai listened to the voice of a man. For Adonai fought for Israel. (TLV) Joshua 10:12-14
Nosh: What may seem impossible to us in the natural is not impossible for God. The one who designed the governing laws of nature knows how to override them when He chooses. This passage reminds us that it is not wise to limit God to what we imagine is possible. Instead, cultivate the belief that in Him “all things are possible”. (Matthew 19:26)
