The Daily Nosh – Job 6:14
A despairing person should have the kindness of his friend, even if he forsakes the fear of Shaddai (The Almighty). (TLV) Job 6:14
Nosh: Deep despair can wound the heart in such a way as to produce a form of mental and emotional madness resulting in the seeming rejection of loved ones, even God Himself. As Job points out, to the extent possible, the proper response of true friends is to overlook things said and done during a season of deep despair and sadness and express unconditional love through acts of kindness and comfort in word and deed.
