The Daily Nosh – James 1:19-20

Daily Nosh

Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger – for human anger doesn’t produce the righteousness of God. (TLV) James 1:19-20

Nosh: In my life I have found this verse to be very true. As the text indicates, the best way to avoid the toxic, destructive and regrettable results of expressed anger is to control the tongue and not speak. I have discovered that if I wait until the emotion of anger has dissipated before I respond to a heated situation, my response is more productive and there is much less self-created fall out I need to deal with.
