Woe, those going down to Egypt for help. They are relying on horses, trusting in chariots since they are many, and in horsemen since they are very mighty, but do not seek the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!
Nosh: I think the lesson here is that when we face challenges or trouble in life and there is what appears to be an easy or obvious solution in human terms, we are wise to not assume the obvious but in all cases seek God’s counsel first. There may be unseen pitfalls or even better solutions than may at first appear. This habit does not come naturally but is a skill that requires practice over time.
