Woe, those going down to Egypt for help. They are relying on horses, trusting in chariots since they are many, and in horseman since they are very mighty, but do not seek the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord! (TLV)
I think the lesson here is that when we face challenges or trouble in life and there is, what appears to be, an easy or obvious solution in human terms, we are not to assume the obvious but seek God’s counsel first. There may be a better solution or unseen pitfalls that only God can reveal and help us avoid. A word to the wise!
