…He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. When he hears you, He will answer. (TLV) Isaiah 30:19b
Nosh: Moving God to respond to and answer our prayers requires a spoken and heartfelt expression of our need. Grace and mercy are extended when He hears our passionate and desperate prayers. Isaiah implies that if our prayers exist only in our thoughts, a heavenly response is less likely. Crying out to God is not only an act of humility but also an act of faith demonstrating that we believe God is greater than our need and able to overcome the challenges we are facing. Throughout Scripture we see that humility and faith are two powerful divine motivators and now, combined with spoken heartfelt prayer, can and will move God on our behalf.
