The Daily Nosh – II Corinthians 7: 9-10

Now I rejoice, that you were not grieved, but that you were grieved to the point of repentance, for you were grieved according to God’s will, so that you might in no way suffer loss from us. (10) For the grief that God wills brings a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret. But the world’s grief brings death. (TLV) II Corinthians 7: 9-10
Nosh: This passage illustrates the uncomfortable yet divine principle of constructive adversity. There are times in the lives of we who follow God when He allows, what appear to be, negative and adverse circumstances to overtake us. As Paul explains in this passage, take comfort in the fact that God is in control and that these situations are necessary in order to bring beneficial change that will produce a brighter, more successful future.
