The Daily Nosh – I Timothy 3: 1-2

Myriam Chernoff

Daily Nosh

Trustworthy is the saying: “If any man aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a good work.” An overseer, then, must be beyond criticism – the husband of one wife, clear-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach. not addicted to wine, not violent but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money… (TLV) I Timothy 3: 1-2

Nosh: Spiritual maturity and integrity are qualities that ensure a leader’s position and tenure. Deficits in these areas can destroy a leader’s ability to lead and harm those they are leading. For your own well-being, be careful who you follow.
