The Daily Nosh – I Kings 8:22-25
Then Solomon stood before the altar of Adonai (the Lord) in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven, and said: “Adonai, God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above or on earth below, keeping covenant and lovingkindness to your servants who walk before You with all their heart. You have kept what you promised with your servant David my father. Yes, You spoke with your mouth and fulfilled it with your hand as it is this day. Now therefore, Adonai, God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father what you have promised him saying: ‘You shall not lack a man to sit before Me on the throne of Israel, if only your children watch their way, walking before me as you have walked before me.’ (TLV) I Kings 8:22-25
Nosh: God takes special care to keep His promises and watch over the lives of those who have given their whole heart, 100%, to living faithfully for Him. When God is the top priority in our lives, we are a priority in His.
