The Daily Nosh – I Corinthians 5: 11, 13

But now I am writing to you not to mix together with anyone who is being called a brother if he is sexually immoral or greedy or an idolater or a slanderer or a drunkard or a swindler – not even to eat with such a fellow. But those who are outside, God judges. Put away the wicked fellow from amongst yourselves. (TLV) I Corinthians 5: 11, 13

Nosh: Here is an important warning. People who say one thing but do another cannot and should not be trusted. They profess a spiritual and Godly life but practice sin. The practice of sin and immorality is like a contagious disease and those that carry it infect others with it. As Paul warns, if the sin of others is tolerated, when God’s judgment falls it will be felt by both the sinner and the tolerant. Your life will not spiritually elevate theirs, but their evil practices will always have a corrosive and destructive effect on yours. Best advice? Put the source of sin and certain judgment far away from your life.
