The Daily Nosh – Genesis 12:4, 6-7

So Abram went, just as Adonai (the Lord) had spoken to him. Also Lot went with him. (Now Abram was 75 years old when he departed from Haran.) Abram passed through the land as far as the place of Shechem, as far as the Moreh’s big tree. (The Canaanites were in the land then.) Then Adonai appeared to Abram, and said, “I will give this land to your seed.” So there he built an altar to Adonai, who had appeared to him. (TLV) Genesis 12:4, 6-7
Nosh: Understanding and successfully fulfilling God’s calling on our lives is a process. You might say it is a progressive revelation. As we see in Abram’s case, as he acted in faith over time, God rewarded him with more confirmation and more information about the plan for his life. Applying this principle to my life, I try to regularly encourage myself to keep moving forward in faith, even if I do not have a clear picture or understanding of the path in front of me. If I choose to never give up and trust God in the process, like Abraham, I believe that His plan for my life will be revealed, understood, and fulfilled.
