The Daily Nosh – Exodus 14:15-16

Then Adonai said to Moses, “Why are you crying to me? Tell Bnei Yisrael (the sons of Israel) to go forward. Lift up your staff, stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it.” (TLV) Exodus 14:15-16
Nosh: Despite the many miracles God performed to release the nation of Israel from Egyptian tyranny, Moses and the people of Israel found themselves trapped against the Red Sea, facing re-enslavement, death, and certain destruction at the hands of Pharaoh’s pursuing army. Moses was desperate, out of human options, and crying out to God for help. Sometimes, we too, despite having experienced many miracles and victories in our lives may yet face another destructive, even life-threatening, circumstance. In those situations it is wise to remind ourselves of this historical account and the truth that God is our supernatural life partner. The moment we are out of human options is the right time for God’s miracle option to be revealed on our behalf.
