The Daily Nosh – Exodus 13: 17-18

Daily Nosh

After Pharaoh had let the people go. God did not lead them along the road to the land of the Philistines, although that was nearby, for God said, “The people might change their minds if they see war and return to Egypt.”  So God led the people around by the way of the wilderness to the Sea of Reeds, and the Bnei Yisrael (sons of Israel) went up out of the land of Egypt armed. (TLV) – Exodus 13: 17-18

Nosh: The shortest way is not necessarily the best way to achieve a goal. It may, in fact, lead to a quick and painful failure. Oftentimes, success is preceded by an uncomfortable and lengthy process of preparation and learning. Whether or not we understand the necessity of this process, for best results in life, it is always smarter to follow the plan God has revealed regardless of the length of time it may take to reach a successful conclusion.
