Daily Nosh

Be not overly wicked, and do not be a fool – why die before your time? (TLV) Ecclesiastes 7:17

Nosh: According to this Scripture, the excessive practice of sin or wickedness produces a life trajectory that is increasingly self-destructive even leading to premature death. So why does Solomon call them fools? Because they do so either intentionally ignoring the looming danger or they believe that they will somehow be the exception to the rule and escape the ruinous outcome.  In other words, the lethal consequence of excessive sin is self-inflicted and wholly avoidable. A warning to us all.
