The Daily Nosh – Deuteronomy 4:1-2

Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances that I am teaching you to do, so that you may live and go in and possess the land that Adonai the God of your fathers is giving you. You must not add to the word that I am commanding you or take away from it – in order to keep the mitzvot (laws) of Adonai your God that I am commanding you. (TLV) – Deuteronomy 4:1-2
Nosh: In order to accomplish what God has shown us or called us to do, He says to do two things: (1) faithfully follow the instruction and direction He gives us and (2) resist the temptation to change or second guess that direction if things are not going the way we think they should. Being faithful to His instruction means that the results are God’s responsibility. When we decide to deviate from His direction and follow our own dictates, we own the results.
