The Daily Nosh – Deuteronomy 4: 40

Daily Nosh

You must keep His statutes and His mitzvot (laws), which I am commanding you today, so that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and so that you may prolong your days in the land that Adonai (the Lord) is giving you for all time. (TLV) Deuteronomy 4: 40

Nosh: When we, as parents,  are  faithful to consistently  live our lives  for God, which means being obedient and seeking to follow His guidelines, we sustain God’s favor and blessing not just on our immediate selves but also for our children. Our faithfulness creates an overflow of blessing on those little ones God has given us responsibility to care for and are under our parental authority. What a wonderful opportunity God has given us to sow blessing into the next generation remembering that this promised blessing is conditional on our parental faithfulness to God.
