The Daily Nosh – Deuteronomy 24:17-18

You shall not pervert the justice due to the sojourner or to the fatherless, or take a widow’s garment in pledge, but you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there, therefore I command you to do this. (ESV) Deuteronomy 24:17-18
Nosh: To protect the well-being and treatment of those less fortunate or less powerful than ourselves requires humility of spirit and is a virtue of high value to God. He exalts the humble and humbles the proud. (Matthew 23:12) We are very wise to often remind ourselves of this truth and act accordingly.
