The Daily Nosh – Deuteronomy 11:26-27a
See, I am setting before you this day a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God…. (ESV) Deuteronomy 11:26-27a
Nosh: It is clear in this passage and our experience affirms that there are always consequences, both positive and negative, for the decisions we make and the actions we take in this life. God asserts that obedience and faithfulness to Him and His Word will yield a continuous flow of blessing, favor, and positive results. Disobedience and rebellion against His commandments will yield a constant and persistent flow of negative outcomes. Do not be deceived. There is a God in heaven and He holds us all accountable…whether we like it or not.
