Day 1: Sunday 5/31—Depart for a Messianic Journey through Israel
Your Messianic Journey begins with your flight to Tel Aviv. Read, chat, study, or sleep and enjoy the travel.
Day 2: Monday 6/1 – Shalom Israel: Ancient Joppa & Modern Tel Aviv
Walk the ancient alleys of the Biblical port of Joppa where Jonah tried to flee from God, and the Apostle Peter saw an amazing vision on a rooftop. Marvel at the transformation of the sand dunes outside Joppa to ultra modern Tel Aviv. Appreciate God’s faithfulness in restoring His people to His Promised Land. Rest and enjoy your first night in Israel in your lovely hotel on the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 3: Tuesday 6/2 – Mediterranean Coast: Caesarea, Megiddo, Mt. Carmel
Walk through Herod’s luxurious port of Caesarea, the seat of Roman government where Cornelius, the first Gentile, came to faith in Messiah Jesus. Here the Apostle Paul stood trial for proclaiming the Resurrection of Jesus. Sing God’s praises in the Roman amphitheater where Agrippa failed to give God the glory. On Mount Carmel, see where Deborah defeated the Canaanites and Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal, demonstrating the power and faithfulness of God. Explore Megiddo, the ancient guard city of the Jezreel valley and future site of the Battle of Armageddon. Overlook Nazareth, the boyhood home of the Lord Jesus.

Day 4: Wednesday 6/3 – Upper Galilee: Caesarea Philippi & Tel Dan
Splash through the streams of Tel Dan, source of the Jordan River. See the ancient Canaanite city gate where Abraham entered to rescue Lot. Hike around Jeroboam’s altar from the early Northern Kingdom. At Caesarea Philippi worship the Lord Jesus in the city where Peter declared: “You are the Messiah!"

Day 5: Thursday 6/4 – Walking with Messiah: Around the Sea of Galilee
Spend the day around the Sea of Galilee where Jesus the Messiah spent most of His ministry years. “Sail" the Sea of Galilee and worship the Lord upon the water on which Jesus walked and calmed the storm. Learn Scriptures in His home base of Capernaum where His teachings will spring from the pages of Scriptures to unforgettable spiritual transformation. Visit Migdal, town of Mary Magdalene with its New Testament era synagogue. Rejoice on the Sea of Galilee beach were the Resurrected Messiah Jesus appeared to His Disciples and prepared their breakfast at daybreak. Now, as then, He is faithful in calling us to “Follow Me."

Day 6: Friday 6/5 – Beit Shean to Gideon’s Spring & Qumran
Marvel at the extensively excavated Roman city of Beit Shean, important city in the life of King Saul, and later the capital of the Decapolis. At the springs of Ein Harod see where Gideon selected his 300 warriors. Near Jericho stand at the Jordan River where Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land, Elijah was taken into heaven on the fiery chariot, and John baptized the Lord Jesus. Walk through Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were preserved showing the reliability of God’s Word.

Day 7: Saturday 6/6 – Dead Sea: Masada & Ein Gedi
Cable car up Masada, Herod’s wilderness Palace-Fortress, to walk where the Jewish resistance made their fated last stand against Rome, after the fall of Jerusalem, AD 73, yet trusted in the faithfulness of God to restore His people. Worship the Messiah Yeshua in Masada’s ancient synagogue as you praise the LORD for His faithful preservation of His people and His restoring them to their Promised Land 70 years ago. Be refreshed, where David hid from Saul, at beautiful Ein Gedi, the largest oasis on the Dead Sea (maybe you will see Ibex along the pathway).Then relax and float in the Dead Sea at our hotel’s private beach.

Day 8: Sunday 6/7 – BeerSheva, Valley of Elah, Shepherd’s Fields & Up to Jerusalem
The Biblical boundary of Israel is often referred to as “from Dan to BeerSheva." This desert city was the home of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. From here Abraham journeyed to Mt. Moriah (Jerusalem) to offer Isaac. Today this is a modern university city, capital of the Negev. Stand in the Valley of Elah where David chose his five smooth stones. Look over the Shepherds’ Fields of Bethlehem, where they were keeping watch over the sheep the night Messiah was born. Go UP TO JERUSALEM to begin your time in the City of the Great King.

Day 9: Monday 6/8 – Jerusalem: Mount Zion & the Jewish Quarter
Pray at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount, then go underground to the bedrock of Herod’s Temple’s expansion. Worship on the Southern Steps of the Temple where Messiah Jesus walked and Peter healed the lame man. Travel back in time for a sense of the night Peter denied the Lord in Caiaphas’ courtyard at the Wohl archeological site. Walk the winding street of Jerusalem through the beautiful Jewish Quarter of the Old City and through the Zion Gate to the Upper Room, David’s Tomb and the site of a 1st century Messianic synagogue. Enjoy the souk (bazaar) at the Jaffa Gate, which spans Jerusalem’s history from Herod, through the Crusaders, to the Sultan Suleiman, WWI and the modern Jewish State.

Day 10: Tuesday 6/9 – Jerusalem: The City of David & Modern Jerusalem
Explore the earliest archaeology of the City of David, and gaze north to the Temple Mount as did David and Solomon. Splash through the fresh water springs of Hezekiah’s Tunnel to the Pool of Siloam where Jesus sent the blind man. At the Israel Museum view the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book. Be an archaeologist as part of the Temple Mount Sifting Project.

Day 11: Wednesday 6/10 – Out of the Ashes: God’s Faithfulness in the Holocaust
At Yad VaShem, Israel’s Memorial to the Holocaust, mourn the death of The Six Million yet celebrate the faithfulness of the LORD in preserving His people. Enjoy a delicious Biblical lunch at Genesis Land with Abraham’s hospitality. Free time in Jerusalem this afternoon.

Day 12: Thursday 6/11 – Jerusalem Christian Quarter: Messiah’s Atonement
The focus of this Jerusalem day is understanding more fully the Atonement of our Messiah Jesus. Walk down Mount of Olives and pray in Garden of Gethsemane. Enter the Old City via the Lion’s Gate to the Pools of Bethesda, the Upper Pool of Jerusalem, where Isaiah confronted Ahaz; and were Messiah Jesus healed the lame man. Have lunch (and shop awhile) in the Muristan, the ancient Crusader hospice area near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The day, and our Biblical Adventure, culminates in a celebration of the Resurrection of Messiah Jesus at the Garden Tomb. Back to the hotel to pack, rest, and enjoy a Farewell Dinner together. Flight home tomorrow.

Day 13: Friday 6/12 – Shalom Israel~ lehitraot (Good-bye for now)
Saying good-bye to Israel seems to come too soon, but what you’ve learned on this Messianic Journey in God’s Holy Land will always be in your hearts. As you board you flight, you will say Shalom-lehitraot to Israel and Hello to home. It’s time to begin processing your Israel experience and be further transformed by all you’ve seen and learned of the Lord during your Messianic Journey through Israel.

Dr. Michael Rydelnik is a Professor of Jewish Studies and Bible and Host/Bible Teacher on a nationally syndicated Bible Q&A program, answering listener Bible question every Saturday morning. He is the author of Understanding the Arab Israeli Conflict and The Messianic Hope: Is the Hebrew Bible Really Messianic, as well as the co-editor of The Moody Bible Commentary, with his friend Dr. Michael Vanlaningham. His favorite activities are teaching/studying the Bible in Israel, hiking in the Adirondack Mountains of NY with Eva and their Sheltie, Frodo and Boxer, Jake. Eva and Michael also enjoy reading classic literature and watching Golden Age of Hollywood’s black & white films. They have two outstanding adult sons.

Cost is all inclusive: round-trip flight from Chicago O’Hare or Denver to Tel Aviv. Lodging in 5-Star Israeli Hotels (per-person, double occupancy/price is $4995.00 (tentative price) per person with 2 people per room.) Meals included are breakfast and dinner (some lunches not included). Touring with a licensed Israeli Tour Guide and Israeli Bus Driver in an air conditioned motor coach. The daily itinerary is an overview of planned events and sites, and is subject to adjustment as necessary at the time of the tour. All taxes, fees and tips are included in the cost of the tour.
Single Room: Single Room Supplement $1475.00 (if you do not want a roommate, chose a single room). Single rooms are limited.
Flights: Flights are round trip from Chicago, O’Hare or Denver. If you do not live near Chicago or Denver, you are responsible for your own transportation to O’Hare or DIA airport to travel with the group from Chicago or Denver.
Own (self-arranged) Flights: If you want to make your own flight arrangements, there is a $900.00 deduction (flight credit) from the cost of the trip.

SINGLE ROOM – If do not want a roommate, the additional cost of a single room is $1475.00. If you want a roommate, but do not have a roommate, we will try to place you with another single traveler of the same gender. However, if no one is available to room with you, you will be charged for a single room. If you are traveling with (or have been assigned) a roommate who cancels, you will be responsible for a single room if no one else is available to be your roommate.

All cancellation notices must be received in writing (e-mail) to the Messianic Journeys office. Refunds for cancellation are based on the time of the cancellation. Failure to submit payments within the required payment schedule (and grace period) may result in trip cancellation by Messianic Journeys.
Until November 15: Trip Deposit is refundable less $500.00 cancellation fee.
November 16 – February 15 Cancellation: refund less $1000.00 cancellation fee.
February 16 – March 15 Cancellation: refund less $2000.00 cancellation fee.
After March 15 Cancellation: Sorry no refund.
Prices are based on existing U.S. dollar exchange rate, current costs, fuel charges, and tariff rates, and are subject to change (beyond our control) based on the dollar and international market. Deviations and Changes
Requests for deviation from the itinerary are subject to a $500.00 deviation fee, plus any applicable airfare or ground transportation surcharges. Itinerary changes cannot be accepted after April 1, 2020.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your Passport information.
Be sure to enter your Passport name EXACTLY (first, middle, last) as it appears on your Passport. Your tickets will be purchased using the Passport Name you supply. If your name is not exactly the same on your ticket and your Passport, your ticket for this tour will be invalid and may have a substantial cost to re-ticket in the correct name.
You must have a valid passport with an expiration date 6 months after the date of our return to the U.S. If you need a new or renewed passport, it takes several weeks to secure one, so don’t delay applying/updating. Non-U.S. Passport holders, please contact Messianic Journeys.
Inoculations & Visas
No inoculations or visas (for U.S. Citizens) are required for Israel.
One piece of checked luggage, maximum 50 pounds. Plus, one small personal bag (small enough to comfortably fit on your lap on the tour bus, e.g. a back-pack). Luggage is limited due to the tour bus luggage bay capacity.
Messianic Journeys STRONGLY recommends Trip Insurance. Messianic Journeys urges you to procure Trip Insurance immediately after registering for a tour. This type of insurance will cover the cost of your trip should you need to cancel because of an emergency prior to departure, or return mid-trip to the States because of an emergency, illness or injury.

Physical Requirements & Responsibility
Seeing Israel with Messianic Journeys is not a looking-out-the-bus-window-experience. Our tours are a feet-on-the-ground adventure that requires travelers to be in generally good health, and are responsible to have independent mobility and strength.
There is a significant amount of walking over uneven archaeological terrain and nature pathways as well as up hills and ancient stairs. To participate in this tour successfully, you should be able to climb two flights of stairs without assistance and walk at a modest pace for a mile, as well as be able to stand in possibly hot weather.
Individuals registering for this journey accept the responsibility for being in good health and able to walk without assistance. If you require a cane, crutches, wheelchair or personal assistance to walk, sorry but this is not the trip for you. You must be physically able to independently walk and travel with the tour group.
