II Corinthians 7: 9-10

(9) Now I rejoice, that you were not grieved, but that you were grieved to the point of repentance, for you were grieved according to God’s will, so that you might in no way suffer loss from us. (10) For the grief that God wills brings a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret. But the world’s grief brings death. (TLV)

Nosh: In this passage is illustrated the uncomfortable but important principle of constructive adversity. There are times in the lives of those following God in which He allows, what appear in the short term to be, negative and adverse circumstances. Take comfort in the fact that God is in control and that these situations are necessary in order to lead us to an important and beneficial change that produces a brighter and more successful future.
