The Joseph Project participated in an event with the municipality of Beit Shemesh for 600 of the poorest families of the city. They were invited by various municipal agencies and the Deputy Mayor. About 70 student volunteers came to organize the clothing according to size and gender, and then disributed them from different stations set up for the event. More than 5000 items were given out including clothing, blankets, diapers, soupmix, and baby booster seats. The Dep Mayor publicized this even as the largest distribution of humanitarian aid ever in Beit Shemesh…just in time for Rosh Hashana.
