As the winter weather sets in, soldiers stationed along Israel’s northern border are enduring cold, difficult conditions. Many are reservists who have left behind their families, homes, and jobs to protect their country. They are stationed in challenging outdoor conditions, with little respite from the elements and only temporary shelters to sleep in.

When we asked what they needed most, they asked for something simple but meaningful: coffee kits to bring a little warmth and comfort during their long shifts. Thanks to your kindness, we delivered these kits, which have become a source of reassurance and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Though small, a hot cup of coffee in the morning paired with the knowledge that people are thinking of them means a lot. For soldiers who’ve been on duty for over a year, such gestures help them face the daily strain with a little more strength and resilience.
