3/21/2022 Jewish Ukrainian War Emergency Update (6)

As the war in Ukraine worsens and the number of Jewish people desiring to escape the war and move to Israel increases (now more than 50,000) the needs everywhere are increasing rapidly along with the costs. The Lord has placed the Joseph Project in a very strategic position to meet many of the needs of these Jewish refugees fleeing to Israel with just the clothes on their backs.
The Joseph Project is truly a unique partnership between Messianic Jews and Christians who love Israel. This terrible war provides a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate our unity in the God of Israel and the Messiah Yeshua through many works of kindness.
For Messiah’s glory,

Here is the latest from the Ukrainian border and Israel:
Pop-up pharmacy in Lublin, Poland is up and running!
All the supplies (over a thousand items) arrived safely and are already being put to good use, servicing the Ukrainian refugees in Lublin, Poland.
Stress-relief Room for children in the works!
In addition, JP is assisting a hotel in Lublin, which was converted to be a refugee center to create a “Stress-Relief Room” for the children and young adults to provide them a safe space to play sports, take part in fun activities, and release some of the pent-up energy and anxiety they have built up during this traumatic time (due to the cold winter weather, the children are stuck indoors nearly all the time). All the sports equipment for this stress-relief room is being funded and provided by JP. JP staff member, Ami Natar will be there soon to visit and assist and will be providing us with more content once the room is set up. The center is currently expecting a large influx of Ukrainian children (some of them now orphaned) and hopes to have the room set up before they arrive.
Helping Ukrainians in Israel …
Since the beginning of March, God has enabled the Joseph Project to supply aid in the form of beds, furniture, household items, hygiene supplies, diapers, clothing, etc. to 11 different organizations working directly with Ukrainian refugees and other new immigrants in Israel (many Russian Jews are now also escaping Russian and making Aliyah as a result of the war with Ukraine) to provide for their immediate practical needs. In total, we have given these organizations nearly $90,000 (289,550 shekels) worth of aid this month, and the month is not yet over.

How you can help!
The Jewish refugees of Ukraine need our help right now. Expected immigration to Israel has grown from 10,000 to now 50,000 and I suspect that this number is low. Shmuel Salway, Joseph Project Executive Director in Israel, has shared that the immediate and urgent need is at least $140,000 which is to secure and pay for aid as they come across the borders of Ukraine and also assist them with further aid once they have arrived in Israel. We are stepping out in faith to secure this aid of which the cost is not in our budget. Your support and prayers are critical.
