Passover Nosh Day 3: Exodus 7: 6-7

(6) So Moses and Aaron did as Adonai commanded them. (7) Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.

Passover Nosh – Day 3

It is amazing to see that in the cases of both Moses and Aaron, their most physically taxing and important ministry was not accomplished in the youthful and prime years of their lives but rather in the last third or sunset years of their lifespan. God evidently re-invigorated them for the arduous and physically demanding task of overseeing God’s miraculous deliverance of the Jewish people from Egypt as well as the pursuant 40 years in the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land. Apparently, youthful energy was less important to God than the wisdom gained through age and experience. Lesson? Circumstances can be deceiving. Never put God in a box, for God is not restricted or bound by the natural. With God – all things are possible.
